Ailbhe
Ailbhe is one half of the calamities and generally just a nuisance to everyone around them. Growing up, the television was their one and only friend (apart from all their other friends) and they cut their teeth on whatever cartoons Irish television would allow.
As they grew older they realised, "huh, I'm not growing out of my cartoon phase anytime soon?" and like any true person suffering from arrested development, turned to anime to fill their time. When they somehow got to college and studied Film and Geography, a lot of their research involves representation in children's media and cultural geography. Sometimes it even sounds like they know what they're talking about.
Conor
Conor is the other half of the calamities fueled by energy drinks and lack of sleep. In his wee days he used to pray at the alter of the television watching any cartoons he could.
His expertise is mostly in shit-posting with a minor from his film studies. He once taught improv but never learned how to be funny. He brings his slightly academic background with his monster fueled love of talking to highlight cartoons he loves, and some he doesn’t.
